Tommy Lee Jones in Talks to Direct Pilot for AMC Football Drama The Real All-Americans

Tommy Lee Jones is in talks to direct the first episode of the show, The Real All-Americans, a drama about the Carlisle Indian Industrial School in Pennsylvania, a Native American college whose football program became the stuff of legends. Coach Glenn “Pop” Warner and Olympic icon Jim Thorpe both came out of the program, which boasts a still-astonishing record of 167-88-13. Star Trek writer Nicholas Meyer has been selected to write the pilot script and Harry J. Ufland will produce.
