Stark Kids Beatboxing the ‘Game of Thrones’ Theme is the Only Commentary You Will Ever Need
On HBO’s Game of Thrones, the family members of House Stark of Winterfell have many skills, among them hanging out with direwolves, inspiring weird Tumblr fanfiction and admiring blogs, dating their onscreen love interests IRL (or at least spurring rumors thereof), brooding, seething and generally being total sass-cats and amazing. One skill in which they are lacking, however, is freestyle rapping, but gosh darn if they don’t give it their best shot.
As part of the commentary for the upcoming Season 2 DVD of Game of Thrones, which drops February 19th, various cast members pick up audio commentary duties. For the intro to the third episode, the Stark children, Sophie Turner (Sansa), Maisie Williams (Arya) and Isaac Hempstead-Wright (Bran) take a shot at rapping over the main titles. Hempstead-Wright beatboxes, they rhyme "Pyke" with "really nice" and inform us that Winterfell is, indeed, where it’s at. The flow may be lacking, but they’re having fun with it, and seem to get along, which is the important thing, in the end. And with the third season of Game of Thrones still more than two months away, here’s yet another thing to help tide you over.
