Rita Ora to Host New Iteration of “America’s Next Top Model”
VH1’s reincarnation of The CW classic “America’s Next Top Model” will be hosted by singer and model Rita Ora, according to Variety, replacing longtime “Top Model” staple Tyra Banks.
After 22 cycles, The CW cancelled “Top Model” in October. The Banks-created show was quickly picked up by VH1, where Tyra will still serve as an executive producer and cameo guest.
Joining Ora on the fresh new panel are supermodel Ashley Graham, Paper magazine’s Drew Elliott, and stylist Law Roach.
Rita Ora has previously served as a coach on the British version of “The Voice,” as well as a judge on “The X Factor.” Four of her songs have reached number one in the UK, although for some reason we still keep drawing a blank whenever anyone asks us to sing something of hers.
Only time will tell if she’s got the manic spirit Tyra brought to the table over the course of her reign as Top Model Titan.
A gentle reminder to watch Ms. Banks at her best:
