Anderson Cooper Slams Snooki
Anderson Cooper proved himself one of Snooki’s harshest critics last night, adding the Jersey Shore star to his “Ridiculist,” which is kind of like Keith Olbermann’s “Worst Person in the World” segment except more sane. Cooper also added all the people who have been paying Snooki to do things. Like Rutgers, which recently paid her a $32,000 speaking fee. Or all the nightlife promoters who routinely give Snooki upwards of $25,000 to get drunk and dance at their clubs. Or the good people at MTV, who have raised Snooki’s per-episode fee to $100,000 for the new season of Jersey Shore. Watch Cooper get emotional about something other than disasters in faraway lands.
“We just learned that, taking a cue from her own hairdo, she is getting a huge raise.” Anderson! You can be funny? “The New York Times says Snooki gets paid $25,000 to go to a club for a few hours and drink and dance and just be Snooki. Or as I like to call it, the ‘show up and throw up’ fee.”
Well, he’s no Jon Stewart. Solid effort though. Now the American public knows that Anderson Cooper isn’t just one of the best television journalists we have — he can also snark on reality stars like the rest of us.
