Accommodations in the Caribbean generally look like this: dark mahogany beds, wicker chairs, tropical bird motifs, and floral drapes. Not so at the romantic, uber-luxe Kamique on Anguilla’s south shore. Here you’ll find outdoor showers with streams of blue and green tiles, white walls, marble floors, open floorplans, and modern tubs — decor that underscores but does not compete with the breathtaking views of the St. Martin mountains off in the distance.

Each of the four- to six-bedroom villas comes with a pool, private beach access, and L’Occtaine bath products. If you so choose, you can have a private chef cater an evening on the sand, enjoy a rubdown in your private patio, or participate in any manner of water sports. Just as an FYI, Anguilla is known as a spot for foodies, but it doesn’t have much in the way of shopping. If that’s what you’re after, you can always take a day trip over to St. Martin.
