BlackBook Premiere: Xu Xu Fang’s ‘I Crave’ Video

You may know them from their wicked brilliant cover of The Cure’s ‘Fascination Street’ (on which they veritably out-gothed Robert Smith) – or from several of their tunes soundtracking Gossip Girl episodes. But Xu Xu Fang’s dark, brooding post-punk aesthetic have made them a staple of the LA scene, and won them comparisons to Massive Attack, Radiohead and Sigur Ros.

Ahead of the release of their long-awaited debut album ‘Daylong Secret’ (out March 4th) we premiere the eerie, rather unsettling video for new single ‘I Crave.’ It features Queens of the Stone Age’s Michael Shuman and, hardly surprisingly, draws more than a little inspiration from Pornography era Cure.

And yes, those are really bizarre masks they’re wearing.
