Naomi Campbell Stars in Burberry CGI TB Summer Monogram Collection Film

Despite her once prickly reputation, Naomi Campbell emerged as something of a good humored hero during the early days of the coronavirus lockdowns last year. Indeed, the British supermodel posted a very cleverly done video to YouTube outlining her hazmat-suited in-flight sanitizing routine, providing a nerve-wracked global populace with a few good laughs, and some very handy tips on how to stay safe when traveling. No surprise, it went seriously viral.

Since that time, her No Filter With Naomi series – we loved the Carla Bruni episode – has turned out to be one of the most reliably entertaining podcasts of the new Pandemic Period. But fashion is still her main gig, of course – and Burberry has just released a high-tech new campaign film for Creative Director Riccardo Tisci’s TB Summer Monogram Collection, with Ms. Campbell as the shining star.

Utilizing the latest CGI technology, we see Naomi perched majestically within a huge – and actually a bit apocalyptic looking – metal contraption, standing atop some bizarre seashell-like sculpture that seems like what the result would be if Damien Hirst had a go at turning a giant coral reef into a work of installation art. As for the clothes, she’s absolutely stunning in a slinky blue catsuit, an oversized t-shirt with Monogram Stripe Print Silk Wide-leg Trousers, and a revealing Monogram Print Triangle Bikini.

“It’s magical working with Riccardo,” she enthuses. “He always has such a unique vision and continually manages to bring another facet out of me, pushing me to do things I don’t think I can do.”

For his part, Tisci shares her level of exhilaration for both the collection and the collab.

TB Summer Monogram Collection captures that optimistic feeling of summer and that feeling of constant momentum – the excitement for what’s next. I couldn’t think of anyone better to symbolize this enduring nature than my incredible friend Naomi.”
