Maya Hawke: From L.A. to Woodstock In Style
It’s hard to fathom, but the offspring of so many ’90s stars are now grown up and making their own way in the world. Maya Hawke – daughter of Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke – for one, is a 21st Century multi-hyphenate extraordinaire. The model-slash-actress (Stranger Things, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) is actually a burgeoning songstress above all.
Which, of course, means lots of jetting about. And so it was that she was just yesterday spotted in Fendi’s much buzzed about S/S 2020 White Runway Heels in Los Angeles, before making her way across the country to Woodstock, to further cultivate said musical career this evening.

Indeed, she will bring herself, her guitar and her glorious sense of bohemian style tonight to The Colony, the legendary Woodstock nightclub that has been hosting the a-list, the unknowns and the next big things since 1929. In fact, following Hawke there will be a tribute to the recently deceased musical genius Daniel Johnston on November 15, and Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore on December 2.
“It’s very exciting to have her perform here,” says The Colony’s Neil Howard of Maya’s appearance, “not just due to her local roots and famous lineage, but really as an actor and musician myself I always love to see folks try out different sides of things. It’s always very inspiring.”
No additional Maya shows have been announced for 2019, so you’ll have to head Upstate to The Colony to catch her live before the new year. Should that be an impossibility, console yourself with her haunting new single “Stay Open.”
