The fashion branded restaurant isn’t exactly a new concept – but we’ve never been happier for word of a brand new one. After all, nine months of this insidious pandemic have exacted a heavy toll on both industries, and we really needed some exciting news.
And so yes, the arrival of a super chic new FENDI Caffe, slotted into the retail hubbub of London’s Selfridge’s, seems to signal a bit of optimism heading into 2021.

The Caffe is a friendly usurp of the hallowed British department store’s popular, 14-seat Champagne Bar, The Fount. It’s tucked into the accessories department on the ground floor, so one might readily pop in for a festive tipple before launching into a sensational seasonal shopping spree. The decor, with its generous lashings of powder pink and signature Fendi yellow, was inspired by the Italian fashion house’s latest, and quite playful accessories collection.
Bar seating, in that same canary yellow, is chicly imprinted with ‘FENDI,’ and even the glassware gets the pinked up treatment (so perhaps best leave your more macho friends at home). And the fashion famous Fendi FF logo – with the second F upside down, of course – is affixed to the stems of those same glasses, as well as to the very stylish yellow and white tableware.

There’s still oodles of Champagne to be sipped, now complemented by signature cocktails like the Roman Passion, the FENDI 1925, and the FENDI Cosmo (all served with FF ice cubes, of course). Or just sip a cappuccino from a Pequin striped porcelain cup.
London is absolutely one of our favorite places to be during the holiday season – but obviously Stateside Fendi fans will have to settle for merely oohing and ahing at all the beautiful images. We look forward, however, to heading straight to wherever the next FENDI Caffe will be popping up, as soon as those travel restrictions are lifted. See you there.
