Meet The Malcolm

Yet another new magazine is launching amid tough times, but this one is all online. An email blast sent yesterday from the thus-far anonymous founders behind the site The Malcolm proclaims the porthole to be a “go-to guide for the future of media.” While the aforementioned language may reek of pretension, the roster of contributors that the site has amassed so far is nothing to scoff at: fashion designer Robert Geller (this issue’s cover story), revered fashion journalist Angelo Flaccavento, and Jak & Jil’s Tommy Ton, for example.

Categories of interest include “fashion, culture, photography, hotels and travel,” as well as a nondescript “etc” section, which essentially doubles as the magazine’s blog. Altogether it’s an impressive assortment of imagery and potential sources for inspiration; not to mention the fact that the folks behind the site remaining a mystery only adds to the intrigue.
