Luxury Fashion Tomes Are on the Rise

Taking a hint from Mulberry’s 480-page history book, both Louis Vuitton and Gucci are releasing new tomes on the stories behind their brands. According to WWD, Louis Vuitton: Architecture & Interiors chronicles “the foundations and structures of its worldwide stores, from opulent window displays to bag bars.” Priced at $85, the hefty 304-pager is set to be released on October 1st.

For major LV fans, there’s also a limited edition version that features exclusive photographs on the cover and three monogrammed fabric slipcases. Fancy.

Italian fashion house Gucci revealed that they’re also debuting a hardcover, entitled Gucci: The Making Of. Edited by creative director Frida Giannini, the coffee-table essential will include rare photographs, love letters, and original essays from Gucci stylist Katie Grand and W magazine’s Editor-in-Chief Stefano Tonchi.

Will Karl Lagerfeld release one for Chanel next?
