Kate Moss’ ongoing collaboration with Topshop is finally coming to a close, at least in its current form. It was back in 2007 that supermodel Moss launched her design career by way of a collection for Topshop; Moss’ latest contribution to her line, which will debut this fall, will be her last as a full collection. “Earlier this year, [Topshop chief Sir Phillip] Green had already made a decision to downsize the number of Kate Moss for Topshop drops from six each year to two,” says Women’s Wear Daily. But as recently as Sunday, Green announced that, going forward, Moss will design only small capsule collections, which in his mind will be released “two to three times a year, with 12 to 15 pieces each.”
Before then, Moss’ new collection will debut in October, when there will also be a chance to score some vintage Moss x Topshop gems as well. “Topshop plans to produce a few pieces from Moss’ very first collection for the retailer that are still in demand,” adds WWD. As for her original profession, the supermodel is still hard at work—she’s currently the face of both David Yurman and Isabel Marant. Most importantly, less designing means Moss will finally have time to indulge another side project: making jam.
