Back in February, The Black Keys released the official music video for their crunchtacular single "Gold On the Ceiling." It was your pretty standard music video—shots of the NYC subway, live footage complete with crowd rocking out (including one person in a horse mask because duh). A solid short, but nothing particularly special.
And then, they released a second one today, with a big name attached, far more budget-caliber effects and way, way creepier imagery than revelers in horse masks. Harmony Korine (Kids, Trash Humpers) directs the second short for "Gold On the Ceiling," in which the band wander around in cult-issued pastel onesies, carrying around mini-me versions of themselves. The climactic moment involves the most awkward group hug of all time.
