Watch Belle & Sebastian Get Animated, Cover ‘Crash’ By the Primitives

Over the last 20 years, Belle & Sebastian have chronicled just about every feeling there is to feel. What’s a few more? On the newly-released Late Night Tales compilation, which gathers "the world’s best artists to delve deep into their music collections to create the ultimate ‘late night selection,’" the Scottish troubadours dip into the vault to deliver a jaunty cover of The Primitives’ "Crash." Accordingly, they’ve released a fun little animated clip for the song which shows the band in block form, playing across town.

The cuteness of the video is a nice antidote to the traditional way to listen to Belle & Sebastian: while laying in bed, smoking a cigarette and feeling down about how everything is going. You can order the compilation (which Belle & Sebastian curated) at the Late Night Tales website, or you can wait until April 21 to pick up the 7” release of "Crash" as one of the many, many Record Store Day tie-ins.
