Video World Premier: Kina Grannis’ “Oh Father”

Images by Yoni Goldberg

You’ll most likely remember Kina Grannis from her 2011 “In Your Arms” video, which was created using 250K jellybeans (No, really!) and stop motion photography. Since then the one time O Music Award winner—for Best Web Based Artist—has gone on to amass a fanatical digital fan base for her breezy, lilting indie folk pop. Her sophomore album, Elements, was released last summer to widespread acclaim—and here we premier the video for the latest single from said album, “Oh Father”. We could tell you that the new clip sees Grannis weaving a more studied and choreographed storyline than her typical soft-focus creations—but we’ll just let you decide.

Oh, and the winsome Japanese-American pixie will be launching her latest tour on February 4 in Carrboro, NC—concluding later in the month in San Diego.
