Smashing Pumpkins Throw NYC Tea Party Today

We say pish-posh to all that “food is the new rock & roll” absurdity. But perhaps a proper tea could go nicely with your Psychocandy?

Indeed, with a wicked new album, Monuments to an Elegy, released tomorrow, Billy Corgan and friends—alternately known as Smashing*mthrfckng*Pumpkins—will be throwing a fiendish little tea party in celebration. The Space Boy’s own Chicago based tea house Madame ZuZu’s is partnering with St Marks’ Physical GraffiTea (housed in the very same building that graced the cover of Led Zep’s Physical Graffiti—get it?) for a one day NYC pop-up today. Rock & roll tea-totallers (sic) shelling out for a copy of the album will be showered with such smashing goodies as limited edition mugs, lithographs, and perhaps even a spot of tea for take away.

Though probably best not to ask for a Smashing Pumpkin(s) Spice Chai Latte.
