What to do after sharing your story with eight million other people and being branded definitely “not slutty” by a middling British girlband? Make an unexpected appearance at a Jay-Z concert, naturally!

Last night, Rihanna came on-stage to join Jay-Z in a live version of “Run This Town” and then performed a new track from her forthcoming album Rated R entitled “Hard.” Given the spectacle she put on, it’s no far reach to anoint her a comeback queen (a title that Whitney Houston failed to honor as her album continues plummeting). Rated R sits outside iTunes’ Top 10 on pre-orders alone. Rihanna’s return couldn’t be more well-timed as next month, Chris Brown is set to release Graffiti, and a rush of renewed goodwill towards RiRi should block even pity sales towards Graffiti.
