All right, a Lady Gaga song called ‘Changing Skies’ has leaked and it’s time to play a game: is it an old demo just now surfacing or is it a brand new tune? My vote is for old demo. It doesn’t really sound mastered, the levels are all over the place (is T.I. the rapper doing the super-buried ad-libs?), and it feels like just a sketch of a song. Still, some of the chatter is saying that it’s her next single. I find that hard to believe, but check it out after the break.

As a Gaga non-fan, I’m actually kind of digging this—good melody, great militaristic beat, and, for some reason, the gratuitous Auto-Tune doesn’t really annoy me. I think she’s an excellent singer with a rich, enjoyable voice—I just hate to hear it buried under gobs of production. This fairly unproduced track really makes me think she could’ve had a great career had she not gone in the electro/club music direction.
