Iggy Azalea has been having a rough couple of weeks, to say the least. The Australian rapper canceled her “Great Escape” tour after delaying it for months, music fans created a petition to strip her of her Billboard award, and the Pittsburgh Pridefest was protested after she was named headliner (she ended up canceling her appearance). It’s hardly romanticizing the past to note that this time last year, “Fancy” was the most overplayed song on the radio. “Pretty Girls,” her collaboration with Britney Spears has gotten good circulation, but it pales in comparison to other song of the summer contenders.
Well, Azalea took it to Twitter to announce that she’s back — but not in the way we expected. She had been taking a self-imposed social media break from the haters of the Twitterverse and finally broke her silence. She covered the major topics on her fan’s mind, explaining that she scraped six months worth of material and started from scratch to work on her new album, due out next year. Then she threw a curveball and announced that she’s also working on … a book. It’s not a tell-all of the dog-eat-dog rap industry we’re waiting for someone to pen but a book of pictures. A coffee table book, if you will. Hopefully it will be as enticing as Kim Kardashian’s Selfish.
Also im making a book. i guess you could say its a coffee table book… its all pictures. my friend Brock Fetch has been taking them for me
