Hi-Five: Beyoncé Gets Remixed + More

Beyoncé – Blow (Monsieur Adi Remix)

Monsieur Adi and Beyoncé are both crowd pleasers, and I knew I would like all of his remixes (he also did “XO” and “Grown Woman”) before I hit play. While I’d like to think of a non-member of the BeyHive, a good track is a good track.

Diplo & Grandtheft – Pretty With Her Eyes Low

Diplo’s talent lies in his ability to be both consistent and novel at once. “Pretty With Her Eyes Low” is a perfect example – while it sounds like typical Diplo, he experiments with different instrumentation for whole new sound.

Hoodie Allen – Show Me What You’re Made Of

“Show Me What You’re Made Of” shows that Hoodie Allen is heading in a more mainstream hip-hop direction, which is not necessarily a bad thing. After his brief hiatus, Allen’s coming back with his eyes on the prize.

Alice Boman – Over

Boman has a knack for tugging on the heartstrings with her engaging and intelligent music. She’s the perfect singer to help you ease your way into the week.

Shamir – I Know It’s a Good Thing

Nineteen-year-old Shamir’s “I Know It’s a Good Thing” has us pumped for the June 11th debut of his EP, to be called “Northtown.” He doesn’t have much out yet, but is definitely one to watch.
