Today Is a Pretty Big Day for Ryan Reynolds

While we were going about our daily business – taking our kids to school, drinking our Bud Lights, voting Brandy off Dancing With the StarsPeople magazine and Warner Bros. were secretly in cahoots, scheming to make today an awesome day in the life of Ryan Reynolds.

While the Green Lantern trailer technically debuted last night, it started to gain real traction today, charting on the all-important Google Trends, and proliferating across the internet the way trailers for highly-anticipated comic book adaptations are wont to do. Reactions so far have mostly been positive, with a lot of comparisons in overall vibe to Iron Man – a good thing. As if that weren’t enough, People just happened to announce that Reynolds is their 2010 Sexiest Man Alive today, an honor that usually means he’s “made it” (in case the superhero movie wasn’t a dead giveaway).

So while being Ryan Reynolds must feel great, it’s not exactly like he needs to be reminded how good he has it. He’s got GQ for that.
