From Altman to Preminger: Check Out The Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Amazing Summer Schedule

Yesterday, we shared our ultimate list of the best alternate films to watch this summer. But when it comes to heading to the cinema, thanks to the wonderful theaters hosting a great wealth of retrospectives, you don’t have to always spend your money on the summer’s biggest blockbusters. No, this sweaty season looks to be overflowing with the best cinematic walks down memeory lane—and when it comes to whose leading the pack, the Film Society of Lincoln Center is bringing you some of the most amazing screening this summer. From supernatural and ethereal wonders to movies that defined a generation, Film Linc’s summer schedule is going to make you want to crack open your wallet for all the right reasons.

While they’re currently hosting the New York Asian Film Festival, every Friday you can catch their weekly midnight screenings that include Tony Scott’s The Hunger, John Water’s Pink Flamingos, and many more on the upcoming lineup. But what I’m definitely most excited about is their freshly announced Fasten Your Seatbelt’s (Part 2): 20th Century Fox series.

Programming Associate Josh Strauss says:
The Fasten Your Seatbelts film series offer a great opportunity for both dedicated cinephiles and casual film fans to sit side-by-side and enjoy films that have stood the test of time and continue to entertain today. This time, with our spotlight shining on 20th Century Fox, anyone would be hard pressed not to find a favorite amongst this group of films, all presented in fine fashion via new digital restorations or pristine 35mm prints projected on the grand Walter Reade Theater screen.
Take a look at what’s playing and get your tickets straight away.
