Another Supplemental Piece of ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ Drops

Wes Anderson’s latest film, Moonrise Kingdom, is more than just a movie.

In addition to the actual film, which gets a wide release later this month, the film has been bolstered by a soundtrack featuring French pop, choral music and a score by Anderson cronie Alexandre Desplat and a set of seven interactive posters that introduced the characters—and then there is everything from the clips released to the font used in the posters that Anderson freaks have been dissecting.

And now there’s this, a new video that shows off animated versions of the kids books that Suzy, one of the story’s main characters, takes with her on an adventure. Each of the books has a different illustrator and no less than town librarian and MK narrator Bob Balaban hosts the adorable clip, so it’s not just a throwaway clip for fanboys that Anderson put no effort into. It’s really just preparing the Blu-Ray release extras in advance, right?
