BLACKBOOK EXCLUSIVE: Paris’ Hotel Costes Launches Apple Music Channel (Playlist)

We’ve spent untold hours over the years warming the opulent seats at Le Bar at Paris’ ceaselessly hip Hotel Costes – and a few times even fell asleep between the sheets upstairs. We’ve generally been in dazzling company; to wit, Johnny Depp, Beyonce, Catherine Deneuve, Cameron Diaz, Colin Farrell, Kirsten Dunst, Gigi Hadid, Mary Kate Olsen…they’ve all regularly roamed the hotel’s boho-glamorous corridors, ever rubbing shoulders with a glittering international fashion set, who also just can’t love it enough.

Music has always been a vital element of its singular sex appeal. To be sure, the Costes even had its own globe-trotting DJ, Stéphane Pompougnac, who produced its long-running, and era-defining music series. Now the hotel is launching a new program on Apple Music, pithily titled The Costes Channel. Each month it will feature The Selection, a brilliantly curated 15-song compilation, including some particularly intriguing unreleased gems.

BlackBook has the exclusive premier of the inaugural Selection, pour votre plaisir d’écoute, and featuring some of our fave artists: Last Shadow Puppets, The Radio Dept, The Juan MacLean…and the inimitable Juliette Gréco. It’s a sexy sonic companion to all your holiday travels.
