M.Gemi Brings Us an Everlane-Like Model for Buying Glam Shoes

Here’s a website you might want to bookmark. New shoe line, sold exclusively online, M.Gemi, is the brainchild of Ben Fischman, the serial entrepreneur behind hit brands like Lids (you know, the baseball cap store) and Rue La La. Now, he’s taken his talents to Italy, scouted the best family-run shoe factories and is bringing us ladies (just ladies, at least for now) fashion-forward footwear made by top Italian artisans. But, because the company follows a business model similar to some of the most successful brands of recent years (think: Harry’s razors, Everlane’s brilliant tee-shirts, Warby Parker’s specs), prices are way below the Paul Andrews and Aquazurras of the fashion industry.

Below, five pairs we want now!
