Fausto Puglisi had royalty and rebellion on his mind in Milan this morning. Puglisi described the collection on instagram as “imperial magnificence and trash,” and the description certainly suits the aristocratic and anti-establishment sensibilities seen on the runway. Coral-like, jewel-encrusted necklines met punky leather kilts, which got the baroque treatment with sun-king style embellishments. Overall, the color-blocking meets high-glam body-con aesthetic was reminiscent of a 90s Versace aesthetic.
