As the creator of Wanderlust, a festival that combines yoga and rock ‘n’ roll, Jeff Krasno has been doing his part to shake up the downward-facing dog set.

After 10 years spent producing events in New York, Krasno decided to merge his music savvy with his growing passion for yoga to create a festival that would appeal to both communities – and his wife. “Sometimes I think Wanderlust is just my extremely complicated way of telling my wife that I love her,” Krasno says. “Men have a strange way of accomplishing simple tasks.” Held at such far-flung places as the Standard Spa in Miami Beach and Vermont’s Stratton Mountain Ski Resort, Wanderlust, Krasno says, is important because “yoga and music can help you find moments of selflessness. There are times when your breath and your heartbeat align with the pulse of the music. You start floating and are completely enveloped in the moment.” Turns out, yogis and Deadheads might have more in common than they originally thought.
