Hedi Slimane doesn’t care if you "get it." Clearly marching to the beat of his own drum, Saint Laurent’s new creative director has managed to change the iconic French fashion house’s name and roll out a ’90s kinderwhore-peppered collection, ruffling tons of feathers in the process. After enlisting the likes of Sky Ferreira and Beck for his campaigns, the game-changing designer is taking his love of music one step further, just in time for Coachella.
Dazed Digital reveals
that Slimane has partnered with a slew of rockstars as part of his Saint Laurent music project. It’s "a portrait series drawing on the relationship between rock icons and the house since its earliest days, the killer move being the artists style themselves in its seasonal and permanent collections to create an image of their own expression." Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth, Ariel Pink, Marilyn Manson and Courtney Love are the aforementioned icons.

Love’s daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. The bratty musician dons a pinstriped suit and silk ruffle skirt, complete with a tiara from her heyday. As for the eyebrow-less Manson, he went for a more understated look by sporting a leather moto jacket and black lipstick. See the rest of the images here
