Debbie Harry vs. Karlie Kloss: Who Did It Better?

Self Service magazine’s editor-in-chief Ezra Petronio has a penchant for blown-out imagery so very reminiscent of polaroids, so it’s no wonder we look at his portrait of a normally not-blonde Karlie Kloss and draw immediate parallels to Andy Warhol’s polaroid portrait of Debbie Harry. The texturized hair, red lip, and black eyeliner don’t hurt… Even though I know that supermodels look good in just about anything, seeing two women from very different decades own a similar look makes it easy to consider grabbing a friend, a pair of scissors, and some peroxide. (I’ll stay rational… for now.)

Karlie got Debbie-d up for Self Service‘s A/W ’13 issue, available now.
