Axe body spray came out with an interesting survey just in time for round two of holiday travel. Starting next weekend, the airports will be filling up again, and this time there’s a higher chance of your flight being delayed due to the several cold fronts drifting across the country. Snow + lots of people = a good chance you’re going to get stuck at the airport this season. If you’re indeed stranded, or just looking for pick-up action this holiday, check out the Axe’s guide to finding love in transit.
Turns out the best airports for making a connection are those that have the deadly combo of frequent delays (weather non withstanding) and above-average restaurants. The top two “hubs of love” are both in the New York area: John F. Kennedy and Newark. Rounding out the top five are Philadelphia, Dallas/Ft. Worth, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. The worst airports to meet someone? Los Angeles, Madrid, and Phoenix. Axe goes on to say that the best way to meet people on the fly is maximize your time in the waiting areas where lots of people hang out, sit where there are empty seats to encourage people to sit next to you, and don’t whine if your flight gets delayed — use it as an opportunity to chat someone up. Or you can always do like London did and carry around a sprig of mistletoe with you, especially if you’re into sentimental grannies.
