Zero Otte Nove

Editorial Review

Arthur Avenue legend makes a play for Manhattan palates. Name references the area code of Salerno, the chef’s hometown and inspiration for fine southern Italian dining. Wood-fired pies are the main attraction, including Bronx fave “Riccardo” with butternut squash, smoked mozzarella, and pancetta. San Marzanos in the sauce, light char on the crust. Plenty of pasta and antipasti, so don’t feel restricted to the ‘za. Old country look, with grand archways, slick black tables.
