This 1898 brewery was closed only for that ridiculous prohibition B.S. Original brick structure houses upscale bistro with high-beamed ceilings, eclectic jukebox, and muscular brews. Don't ask for O'Doul's unless you want to get your mouth washed out with hops by old-timer locals who know their business and want to keep you out of it. Room beset by entire cultural palate of Los Angeles post-work commiseration come happy hour. Crowd comes dressy for beer and wings!
