Helmed by kitschy sweetery Cupcake Stop's chef Thomas Mosera, this Italian joint serves its namesake cuisine in up to 12 varieties, from the quotidian Bolognese and bechamel lasagna, to lobster with sherry sauce, and black truffles frilled with chanterelles. But the culinary embellishments belie the atmosphere, as this restaurant has casual-hang out appeal, making it a respite from the ubquitious swish that eptiomizes Gramercy. Plus, it's outfitted with carved marble, a full wine and cocktail bar, and an open-kitchen, allowing you to voyeuristically peer in (and salivate) as your homemade pasta is being made.
