Irish jewelry designer Tom Binns opened this small retail emporium for his statement making, rocker chic, sometimes colorful designs after a 2006 CFDA win and worldwide success on Net-a-Porter. Binns has been in the business for decades now (to say he is a veteran to the editorial circuit would be an understatement) and many claim that his mainstream success, and subsequent flagship opening, were long overdue. The small boutique is tucked away on one of those charming West Village blocks (the one in which Hunter S. Thompson used to reside) and boasts nothing more than a narrow passage, glass display cases, and a clerk's desk in back. All the better to ogle his eye-catching, in-demand pieces and to weed out the tourists looking for the Jacobs outlet nearby.
