Nightclub slash restaurant Charles reborn as nightclub slash sports bar. Continuity provided by holdover chef, although now she’s cranking out sophisto takes on bar bites. Think fish and chips (Guinness-battered cod and plantains), grilled cheese (with truffle), or (lobster) BLTs. Drinks swing posh as well. What goes better with a baseball game than a Porn Star Martini, blending U'Luvka vodka, passionfruit, and lime? Served with champagne, just like the Mets clubhouse circa 1986. Crimson-red booths nice sized for gathering up your own passel of the faithful.
