The Water Club

Editorial Review

Kips Bay in the house! The Water Club isn't exactly old school, but with a birth year of 1982, it's been around the track. It's located on the East River, by which we mean, it's a barge. But a nicer barge you've never seen! Elegant environment perfect for dipping lobster tails in butter and sipping chardonnay as actual working barges sail by. It's classy but not hip, which means your parents should take you there when they visit. A tip: arrive by car or taxi, as you cross the FDR at your peril. During summer months the Crow's Nest bar takes over the roof. Cocktails, sunshine, and views of brackish water await.
