The rooms are what you'd expect from a Ritz-Carlton, but the most fun is wandering the sumptuous, cream-colored lobby level looking for celebs, if that's your bag. Those seeking a more traditional New Orleans experience ought to check out the jazz stars at Melange, a bar and restaurant. You'll pay through the nose to stay here, but you'd be hard pressed to do better. The rooms are representative of the classic Orleans style, with soft blue, cream and mint tones, beds and sofas with canopies, and so many throw pillows you may have trouble finding the matress.
