This rough-edged, downmarket watering hole gets some of its character from outside the windows: a surprisingly great view of the mountains, docks, train yards and canneries that employ its blue collar regulars (and used to employ its rubbies). Inspired kitschy collages on every tabletop. Occasional live music, occasionally quite good, and always a merciful escape from hipsterworld, even on karaoke night. Brisk trade in off-sale booze next door, but the hotel & restaurant are only for the brave.
