The genesis for The Elegant Table was a by-appointment consulting service founded in Manhattan in 2001. Founder Stephanie Finkelstein carried that bespoke sensibility over to her Southampton boutique, serving the needs of those for whom summer entertaining is more than burgers and dogs and the smell of charcoal. Setting a table with the likes of William Yeoward Crystal, Baccarat, Hermes and Saint Louis Crystal as well as vintage tabletop is either for those who appreciate a finer flair with their meals or are really trying to impress prospective inlaws.
