The Cambie

Editorial Review

Thick with ESL accents, dusty hardhats and the odd hipster, this classic pub adjacent to a budget hostel is a haven for travelers, afternoon drinkers and old-school ne'er do wells in search of some of the cheapest drinks in town. After the booming jukebox and the welcome slice of sunshine on the patio, the bargain burger-and-beer combo is as popular as the restrooms were infamously untidy... until a merciful recent reno, that is. Gritty, sporty and loud, the crowd is young, brash and unflinchingly blue-collar.
