The Backyard

Editorial Review

Out of the way and away from the scene, The Backyard has created one of its own. Restaurant and lounge behind Solé East offers some sort of alternate-reality boho-chic Montauk: A roadside inn, where the the bubbly spills. Besides cushy oversize patio chairs to lay out on, a pool to cool off, and a DJ, the food's not bad either. Fresh and local seafood and steak grill items complement light and healthy small plates. Of late, though, the party's the thing, with the social-set traipsing through and mixing with the weekend retreat cless. And if you're really smitten, get a room.
