Pacific Northwest's second play for global coffee domination. Only this time around, they know how to make a decent cup of joe. More than decent: much of the city's been swearing by these beans for a while now. Retail operation staffed by friendly Portland expats, dressed in twee-hipster obligators. Reliably expert espresso, cappuccino, macchiato, latte pours. Urbane space too small for sprawling, but lobby of the Ace Hotel will serve for that.
