Torrance is a very Japanese town, and Miyako is a very Japanese hotel, so it makes sense that the 5,000-foot spa located within is very Japanese too. Treatments range from the usual stuff (Swedish massage, hydrating facials) to experiences only found in Asia...until now. Ganban-yoku involves sitting in a lounge chair carved out of a special type of heated rock. Then cell restoration, or whatever, occurs. If nothing else, it's relaxing.
