Where it's happy hour every hour. Sophie's has all the dive bar ingredients that make it one of those heralded-by-locals, let's-keep-it-a-secret-please spots. Well, secret's out. And really, why not? East Villagers deserve to guzzle $2.50 Guinnesses, dance to the standout jukebox playing punk, country, and oldies, and shoot some pool at one of the two overcrowded tables. Plus, the bathrooms don't lock, allowing for some voyeuristic fun if you hang by the door long enough. It's a dive bar. Anything goes.
