Vastly unappreciated except by visiting professors and a few others in-the-know. Who'da thunk that this Westin would house a totally decent place to sup? Upstairs from the lobby, interior has warm and welcoming tones and is pleasantly quiet, versus the often too-noisy California Ave. trattorias. Pefectly-cooked dishes include steamed halibut and lamb chops, and we hungrily consumed the orzo pilaf. Sample tray is a good move: small portions of lobster, filet mignon and ahi tuna. Buffet-style brunch includes a cheese board, smoked salmon and fresh bagels, prime rib and a great lamb shank. And mimosas. Lots of mimosas.
