The Carlyle Hotel's opulent day spa transports guests to a hushed world where all are dressed in fluffy robes, supine on velvet couches, their eyes half-closed. Like an opium den with fresh-lemon scrub. Namesake "Spa Journey" a true gift-to-self that begins with a sea-algae wash and ends, three or so hours later, with you asleep in some mineral bath. State-of-the-art Kohler DTV shower soothes tech-hards; combines water, light, sound, and steam to recreate sunrise, but, you know, better.
