Roseland Ballroom

Editorial Review

Storied venue, tarnished and fraying, but fortunate that shabby chic is so damn in. Display cases in front get nostalgic about the old dancehall days. Current incarnation is run by Live Nation, so advance tickets come from Irving Plaza. Big space, show up late and you'll be pretty far from the stage. Or just score a balcony seat and let the masses fend for themselves. Lily Allen, Franz Ferdinand, Kevin Barnes on horseback. Rock and roll will never die.
