Rosebud

Editorial Review

Originally in Chicago's Little Italy neighborhood and now a local chain, the big appeal of Rosebud is its yesteryear mafia connections, which seem to impress passing Michigan Avenue windowshoppers looking for authentic Chicago Italian. (One wonders if there is such a thing anymore, unless you're sitting in Orso's on Wells Street.) The bear-sized portions on their straight-ahead Italian menu may not have you singing, That's amore! but maybe the live pianist downstairs will.
