In these trying times, sometimes the best balm for the soul is a well-made, gratifying Italian meal without breaking the bank. Interior is minimal but not severe, big windows at the front flood the space with daylight during the day and provide street views at night. Casual without being plodding, satisfying without being overly filling or heavy, highlights are the Eggplant Involtini, slices stuffed with goat cheese, and the Linguini Vongole with manila clams. The Petrale Sole in almond sauce and awesome Filet Mignon topped with gorgonzola are perfectly prepped and plated. Good spot for lunch meetings, too.
