The Red Rock Mountains offer a surprisingly different backdrop for Las Vegas hospitality than the high-rise complexes of the Strip. However, the ultra-designed resort also offers a lot of manmade beauty to gawk at. The casino itself is a sprawling space created from wood, stone and glass with spectacular chandeliers and other sculptural accoutrements—the elegant setting and wide variety of games draw local players to join the crowd of visitors who appreciate fine accommodations and great design. Red Rock’s outdoor pool area combines both natural splendor and splendid architecture with a giant circular pool surrounded by secluded lounge areas and smaller dipping pools. Guest rooms are decorated in mid-century modern and take their color cues from the view out the window, while in-tub TVs encourage a long soak.
